Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some additional frequently asked questions

Should I talk with a bank before looking at homes?

Yes, because without it you'll never really know how much you can afford.  Just because someone says you are pre-approved doesn't mean that's how much you want to spend.  You want to find a price point that fits your monthly budget. PLUS, without a pre=approval its like going to a gunfight with a butter knife in todays hot market.

Should I buy or continue to rent?

It depends.  Maybe renting until you are ready to buy is a good decision for you. However the longer you wait, the more you lose out on all the financial benefits of home ownership.

I own a home, should I buy another before selling my current home?

There is truly no concrete “correct” answer to this question.  There are pro’s and con’s to buying a home before selling your current home and the same can be said about selling your current home before buying another. You want to outline ALL of your options and come up with the RIGHT strategy based on your situation.

Do I really need a Realtor when buying a home?

No. You don't need a Realtor to buy a house, but having the right one represent you certainly helps make a more informed decision.

How many homes should I look at before putting in a purchase offer?

As many until you feel RIGHT. The answer is, there is no specific number of homes you should look at before buying a home.  Don’t feel that if you were to purchase the first home you look at that you’re making a mistake. The RIGHT home will appear at the RIGHT time.
